Blogging for Business: Small Business Blog Readership Increases by 122%
Small business owners are notoriously slow adopters of technology, but once they decide to try out an emerging channel, device, or application, participation rates skyrocket. And that’s just what we’re seeing in blogging. While celebrities and the under 25-year-old population are flocking to Twitter, small business owners are just realizing the full potential of blogging. Use of blogs for specific business purposes more than doubled in the last 12 months, and 40% of small business owners now use this medium in their business.

How can you capitalize on this trend within the small business market to increase your marketing effectiveness? The Obama for America campaign can offer a few clues. Blogging was a huge component of this successful campaign, and while much was made of the future President’s own blog during the campaign, it was the local supporters’ blogging that drove a viral spread of information and support. To drive similar success for your enterprise, you need to find ways to engage your local advocates in blogging on your behalf. In this year’s Summit, we will explore how to incorporate blogs into a broader, and scalable, local marketing campaign.

Join us at the Warrillow Summit in Las Vegas from June 1st to June 3rd to learn more about the sub-components of the Obama for America campaign and how to apply these tactics to the small business market. For more information, go to www.warrillowsummit.com; members can register for the summit with their relationship manager. We look forward to seeing you in two weeks!
